The Wedding

So the big day will be July 6. The church is going to be Bkerke and the reception will be at Domaine du Comte.

We are both very excited to start our lives in such historical places surrounded by all our family and friends.  Unfortunately a lot of the people will not be able to make it to this great day due to the fact that they live abroad so we decided to share some information about the venues.  So the people that are coming to the wedding will enjoy some facts about where they are going and for the people that are not coming to know what they are missing.

Bkerke is the See of the Maronite Catholic Patriarchate, located 650 m above the bay of Jounieh in Lebanon.  The earlier building on Bkerké site was a monastery settled in 1703. In 1830 it became the winter residence of the Lebanon’s Maronite Patriarch. The present red roofed structure was built in 1893.

Domaine du comte is a Lebanese historical monument from the 18th century; it was built by the “Consul De France” in Lebanon.  You will enjoy a beautiful view overlooking the bay along with the wonderful history this place has to offer.
